Experiencing Costa Rica’s Pura Vida

Pura Vida is Costa Rica’s mantra, simply translated as “Pure Life.” In a world that’s so busy, here we like to slow down and appreciate even the smallest details of our daily life.

In a recent column the idea is explored with a walk through Manuel Antonio National Park. The writer describes quintessential Costa Rican scenes:

Wake up to freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee. Stroll along the emerald green ocean beach. Inhale the honey and vanilla scented tropical orchids. Watch as a scarlet macaw flashes by and listen to the booming howler monkeys. Enjoy a few minutes with Costa Ricans, the people National Geographic Magazine deemed as one of the happiest in the world.

Spotting toucans, howler monkeys, and a sloth which is thought to be smiling and enjoying itself, it’s an experience you can’t help but want to join in on. Interested in reading the full column? Click here.

Bordering on Manuel Antonio National Park we invite you to experience Pura Vida yourself, whether that be through a nature walk, dip in the Pacific Ocean, a fresh cup of coffee, or all of the above!
